We want to inspire MENA women and girls to pursue their passions through technology – whether that’s software development, sustainability, or entrepreneurship – by championing stories of women who have done just that. See how they’re breaking down barriers and challenging bias to create a more equitable world. As more women leave the workforce in the last year alone, it’s more important than ever to support women, talk about the challenges they face and champion their stories.

Cultural and systemic change doesn’t happen overnight. Rather, it comes in the thousands of moments every day when we as individuals choose to challenge gender bias and inequity.

Annually, the MENA Women In Tech Awards recognize and honor MENA female leaders whose achievements, mentorship and contributions to the community align with the WoMENAIT mission of advancing women in technology from the classroom to the boardroom.

These are highly successful women who have made mentoring the next generation of leaders in technology a significant component of their own success. Typically nominees for the MENA Women In Tech Awards work in a technology role or for a technology company where they accelerate at leadership and innovation. In addition they stimulate professional growth of those they manage or mentor through their actions and encouragement.

Nomination categories offer many opportunities to highlight the outstanding capabilities and accomplishments of women from large and small public and private organizations, demonstrating social impact, being a stellar contributor to MENA Women In Tech and others.
